Short Details About Lord Shiva !!

Lord Shiva is the god of destroyer, destroyer of evils. He is considered as the god of power. Lord shiva dwells on mount Kailasa in the Himalayas with his wife Parvathi. They have two children – lord Ganesha and lord Muruga. He is being worshipped by the people in the form of Lingam. He has a third eye on his forehead. He uses skin of tiger as hi dress.

He would be having snake around his neck. He loves to dance. Dancing Shiva is called Nataraja. His dance is very famously called as Shiva Thandavam, Bharathanatyam ( Indian classical dance). The most proffered and powerful auspicious time of shiva is Mahashivarathiri. On that particular day his devotees will have fasting and perform special Pooja to worship him and get blessings. His Vahana (Vehicle) is Nandhi (white bull).
